Hannah's 1st Birthday and Halloween

Hannah was not too sure about those cupcakes and all the people watching her

She seriously did not want a thing to do with that cupcake. What kid does not want a cupcake?

So instead of putting it in her mouth, she puts it in her hair
The Lovely Princess Aurora

Our scary Bat

And last but not least, our beautiful flower

Does it get any cuter than that?

What a family!!

One final pose together after trick-or-treating

Happy 1st Birthday Hannah!! We sure love our baby girl and we just can't believe that she is already one! We hope you all had a spectacular Halloween and now on to the holidays! Yea!!

Noah Turned 4......2 Weeks Ago

Well, I had every intention of posting these pictures sooner, but that just didn't happen. I seriously admire those of you who have children to take care of and still make time to blog frequently. Oh well. I try. Anyways, our big/little boy turned 4 on October 11th and we sure had a fun weekend. His birthday was on a Sunday, so we went to Chuck E. Cheese's on Saturday as a family and then had some friends over on his actual birthday for cake and ice cream. Noah decided that he wanted another "Bugs" cake and that he wanted green frosting, so I decided to attempt to make it myself. And since he had snack the next day for his preschool class, I also decided to go all out and make cut out pumpkin sugar cookies for the kids in his class. Needless to say, I was exhausted by the end of the day, but I was happy to do all of that for my Noah and to be able to make his day a special one. He actually told me the other day that it was the best birthday, so I think that I was successful. Thanks to everyone who were kind enough to give him a gift and to help make it a great day for him. Happy 4th Birthday Noah!!

Family Pictures

A few weeks ago, my wonderful friend and neighbor, Jessie Ford, took our family pictures at a park near our home and she did such a great job! We sure do love them and she definitely made family picture time a fun experience, and that rarely happens. Thank you so much Jessie!! Above are some of our favorites. :)

11 Months Old and Still No Crawling

I haven't been able to figure out how to put a video on my blog (actually, I just haven't had time to sit down and figure it out), so I decided to take some pictures of Hannah this morning in order to show, those of you who are interested, a play by play of what she can do at 11 months. So she usually starts out in the sitting position, and then she makes it down on all fours and once she gets there, she just kind of scoots around. She then decides that she is done with that and that she wants to get back up into the sitting position, so she puts both of her legs out to the side and is pretty much doing the splits and then she slowly pushes her upper body up until she is back to sitting. She is definitely quite the flexible little girl and I just get a kick out of watching her do all of that. Even though she may be a little behind with the crawling thing, I know that she is so close to figuring it out and before I know it, I will be chasing her around everywhere, along with the other two. It's a lot of work, but at least it helps keep me in shape! :)

Noah's 1st Day of Preschool

A week ago today was Noah's first day of preschool and he was so excited for that day to come. Leah started school about 2 weeks earlier, so every day after she started, he would ask me when it was his turn to go to school. I am not sure how much longer his enthusiasm will last because Noah is not much of a morning person and he definitely does not like to be rushed to go somewhere in the mornings. He likes to just be able to eat his 2 pieces of toast and drink his orange juice all while watching "a show" as he puts it. Sunday mornings are a little rough at our house because Noah usually throws a fit about having to get up right away and put church clothes on. Are we mean parents, or what? Well, so far he seems to be adjusting well to preschool and I haven't had too many chats with his teacher yet about his behavior in class, so hopefully it will stay that way. :) But I tell you what, that boy is such a good boy and I am so proud of him and I just look forward to picking him and Leah up every day and hearing all about their day at school...... if I can get it out of them. Love you Bubs!!

Leah's 1st Day of Kindergarten

Today was my precious Leah's 1st day of Kindergarten and I just cannot believe that I have a child in elementary school now. Let me just tell you that she is so happy that school has finally begun and when I went into her room this morning she was jumping up and down on her bed saying: "I get to go to kindergarten today!" Another thing that she said to me this morning after I had gotten her ready and had not done much with myself yet was: "Mommy, are you going to my school like that, because you don't look so good, but I think that I look good." You gotta love the honesty that you get from your kids. I was able to take her to school this morning and believe it or not, I did not cry. Part of me feels like I am a bad mom because I didn't get emotional about my first child entering the elementary school world, but I think I was ok with it all because Leah was so excited to be there and she was not one bit afraid when I left. Overall, today went quite well and I am looking forward to Noah starting preschool after Labor Day and having 2 1/2 hours of alone time (well, Hannah will be around of course, but she usually naps during that time) and maybe I can get some things done that I have been meaning to get done for a while. We will see!!

Last Days of Summer 2009

Our summer would not have been complete without another trip to Mimi and Papa's house and getting some pool time in before it closes for the winter. We sure had a great time and my kids and were able to spend a lot of time with Auntie Allie. They absolutely adore her and I have to say that I adore her as well. I still cannot believe that she will soon be a mother herself, but I am so excited for and so very proud of her. She is going to be a wonderful mother and I just look forward to more phone calls from her once the baby is here. You're the best Allie!!
I also had to put some more pictures up of my Hannah because I haven't posted any of her in a while and she is just getting so big and growing way too fast! She still has yet to completely roll over all by herself and she isn't crawling, but I told her doctor the other day that I just think that it has to do with her personality and she agreed with me and told me that I had nothing to worry about. Hannah seriously is the most easy going baby and she is just content to just sit and clap her hands and say "uh-oh." I just love her and my other two stinkers too! The last picture is of us at the Reds game and the SF Giants just happened to be in town while we were all home (my family is big Giants fans because my parents are from the Bay Area and that is where I grew up) and we just had so much fun going to the game and it was nice to have a date night. Mimi was kind enough to stay home with the kids and we sure missed her that night, but we were very grateful that we did not have any kids. Once again, we had so much fun with the fam and we are grateful for all that Mimi, Papa, Allie, and even Jared did for us while were there.
